Casey Michael Henry currently teaches at the City University of New York (CUNY). His work often concentrates on the relationship between technology, media, and literature. In 2016, he received his Ph.D. in English from the CUNY Graduate Center. Before that, he received his B.A. in American Literature and Culture from UCLA.

He is the author of the book From Cage to Connection (Bloomsbury), which analyzes the relationship between postmodern fiction and late-twentieth-century communication technologies. His academic work has appeared in Critique: Studies in Contemporary Fiction, the Journal of Modern Literature, and Leonardo Electronic Almanac. He has also published essays, profiles, and reviews in The New Yorker's Page-Turner, The New York TimesBookforum, and The Los Angeles Review of Books, among other venues.
